Moisture correction — EN 14918

NCV_ar = HHV_dry × (1 − M/100) − 2.443 × (M/100)

M = moisture %. 2.443 MJ/kg = latent heat of vaporisation at 25°C. Two loss mechanisms: (1) mass dilution by inert water, (2) evaporation energy during combustion. Non-linear — wet waste loses disproportionately more.
